By accessing or using PostcodeCheck (postcodecheck.co.uk), you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Description of service

PostcodeCheck provides area intelligence reports for UK postcodes. We aggregate data from government and public sources to generate area scores and detailed breakdowns. The free service provides online access to area reports. Premium services include downloadable PDF reports.

3. Data accuracy

We make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of the data presented, but we cannot guarantee that all information is complete, current, or error-free. Area data is sourced from third-party government APIs and may have reporting delays of up to 3 months (e.g., crime data from Police.uk).

PostcodeCheck should be used as one input in your decision-making process, not as the sole basis for any property, relocation, or investment decision. We strongly recommend visiting an area in person and consulting appropriate professionals before making significant decisions.

4. Premium reports and payments

• Premium PDF reports are one-time purchases. There are no subscriptions or recurring charges.
• Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
• Reports are generated at the time of purchase using the most recent data available.
• Due to the digital nature of the product, refunds are offered at our discretion. If you believe your report contains errors, contact us and we will investigate.
• Reports are for personal use only and may not be resold or redistributed commercially.

5. User reviews

If you submit a review on PostcodeCheck, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your review on the site. Reviews must be genuine and based on personal experience. We reserve the right to remove reviews that are abusive, defamatory, spam, or otherwise inappropriate.

6. Intellectual property

The PostcodeCheck website, design, scoring algorithm, and original content are our intellectual property. Government data used on this site is licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0 and remains the property of its respective publishers.

7. Limitation of liability

PostcodeCheck is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for any losses, damages, or costs arising from your use of the service or reliance on the data provided. This includes, but is not limited to, property purchasing decisions, rental agreements, or investment choices made based on our data.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download data from the site
• Attempt to circumvent any security measures or access restrictions
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Resell or redistribute PostcodeCheck data without permission

9. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
